The Cameron and Milam County area is rich in culture and history – offering numerous events which highlight local culture. Cameron recently dedicated the new C.H. Yoe High School and is looking forward to enjoying many events in the new Performing Arts Theater. The community is looking forward to new activities at this 800 seat theater facility. In addition to the new performing arts facility which will host the UIL One Act Play this year, Cameron also features the regular Star of Texas Jamboree and an active Milam County Community Theater.
Milam County Community Theater hosts three shows annually including musicals, dramas, mysteries and comedies each year. Talented people, young and old, across ethnicities and with varied backgrounds, add to the cultural texture of our community through the Milam County Community Theater.

Cameron hosts the annual Dewberry Festival in April featuring Arts and Crafts, food, BBQ Cook-off, a Youth Fishing tournament, Classic Car Show, Horseshoe Tournament, and Free Dewberry Cobbler and Ice Cream! The Dewberry festival brings 5000 to 6000 visitors to Cameron.

| October's Annual Arts and Crafts Fair |

The first Saturday of October features The Cameron Arts & Crafts Fair. Vendors from far and near participate in this annual event attracting 3000 to 5000 visitors to Cameron. October’s Halloween is cause for the annual Warehouse of Horrors which benefits the Milam County Crime Stoppers program.
December features the Christmas Parade downtown and the Cameron Chamber of Commerce Classic which attracts numerous high school basketball teams from out-of-town to this fun filled basketball tournament. The Cameron Chamber of Commerce Classic has very positive impact on local restaurant and hotel sales.
Milam County 4-H is one of the most active 4-H organizations and is host to the Milam County Jr. Livestock Show held annually.

Magnolia House
A fully restored Victorian home of prominent citizens in Cameron for over a century. Built in 1895, it has won the Great American Home Award from the National Trust for Historic Preservation. The Texas Historical Commission has called it “the finest home of its size and type in the country.”

The Bridges of Milam County
Some of the county’s 100-plus steel bridges from 1900 era are still in use today. Brushy Creek Bridge once spanned Bushy Creek south of Thorndale, was moved to Cameron’s Wilson-Ledbetter Park. A bridge over Little River by Sugar Loaf Mountain is still in use.

City Miniature “Old Town Cameron”
Cameron resident John Johnson has created a model of Cameron that recalls the town as it looked during the 1940s. The model is on exhibit in the Milam County Clerk's Annex (on the Court House Square).

Milam County Historical Museum
Housed in restored county jail, c. 1895, complete with cells, shackles, and gallows tower. Exhibits of pioneer farm and ranch equipment, rustic household furnishings, and Spartan "fashions" of the frontier. Also Indian artifacts, ranch and trail-driving tack, cowboy gear, and weapons.

| Ledbetter Park |

Cameron features six city parks: the Cameron City Park, Wilson-Ledbetter Park, Airport Park Complex, OJ Thomas Park, West 12th Street Park, Orchard Park and opened in July 2008 the NEW City Pool Park (adjacent to Airport Park Baseball Complex).
- Cameron City Park offers a pavilion, tennis courts and new playscape all in the heart of Cameron.
- Wilson-Ledbetter Park is a lush and beautiful 25-acre city park with picnic areas, hike & bike trails, site of historic Brushy Creek iron bridge, and home to many species of wildlife. The American Legion Hut makes this a great place for Family or High School Reunions and Parties of all sorts.
- City Pool Park, opened in July of 2008 is a beautiful new pool with separate splash pool for children. The pool park is connected to a beautiful new hike and bike trail which extends to Ben Milam Elementary School. Enjoy a brisk family bike ride from the schools to the new pool and then cool off with a dip and splashing fun. The new City Pool Park includes a basketball court; horseshoes and washers and sand volleyball court. Great Family Fun!
- Airport Park Complex is home to the C.H. Yoe High School Boys Baseball and Girls Softball Teams and an activity little league program from T-Ball to Junior League.
- Cameron is home to a private 9-hole golf course and country club.
- O.J. Thomas Park features basketball goals, swings, a playscape and covered pavillion.
- West 12th Street Park.
- The Williams Civic Center is an ideal venue for meetings, parties and banquets with a seating capacity of 300.
- Orchard Park features a walking trail, pond and an outdoor classroom.
