Cameron hosts the annual Dewberry Festival
in April featuring Arts and Crafts, food, BBQ
Cook-off, A Kid’s Fish, Free Dewberry Cobbler
and Ice Cream and a full blown carnival! The Dewberry
festival brings 5000 to 6000 visitors to Cameron.

The first Saturday of October features The Cameron
Arts & Crafts Fair. Vendors from
far and near participate in this annual event
attracting 3000 to 5000 visitors to Cameron. October’s
Halloween is cause for the annual Warehouse of
Horrors which benefits the Milam County Crime
Stoppers program.
December features the Christmas Parade
downtown and the Cameron Chamber of Commerce
Classic which attracts numerous high
school basketball teams from out-of-town to this
fun filled basketball tournament. The Cameron
Chamber of Commerce Classic has very positive
impact on local restaurant and hotel sales.
Milam County 4-H is one of the
most active 4-H organizations and is host to the
Milam County Jr. Livestock Show to be held annually.
The upcoming show will be March 31 – April
2, 2005.
